  • Manage inbound and outbound rail and truck shipments
  • Assist users with blocking and processing of railcars
  • Maintain accurate yard inventory for railcars on hand and product quantity by storage type
  • Create multi-level business rules and color codes to easily automate workflows
  • Automate railcar movement tracking with AEI fixed and mobile device integration
  • Define facility configuration, yard and track layouts, and graphical interface
  • Assign purchase orders to shipments and track orders and quantity
  • Advanced API tools for data integration to third party software and hardware systems
  • Capture railcar inspections and status including repairs
  • Mobile and desktop access with drag-and-drop capabilities

.: ELECTRONIC BOL

Electronic Bill of Lading enables rail shippers to create and transmit bills of lading electronically to any railroad in North America through industry standard EDI 404 format.

Electronic Bill of Lading reduces errors by validating the information against Industry Reference Files, including hazardous material information.  Users receive acknowledgement of receipt and acceptance and retain records of all bills of lading. Shipment information can originate from any number of applications, including order management systems and Excel.

Users can organize information according to usage patterns, such as only requiring the addition of pertinent data a shipment on that day – even unit trains.

All bill of lading information is stored in a central data base and billing information can be emailed to customers, trading partners, and others directly from the application.

.: RAIL SHIPMENT VISIBILITY

Rail Shipment Visibility enables a real-time look into rail assets to automate rail operations and enhance supply chain communications and transport.  Integrating railcar event data and business intelligence reporting from hundreds of railroads, users receive accurate and up-to-date information on the location, status, and ETA on all shipments and inventory in transit.

Rail Shipment Visibility helps users identify railcar delays, reduce variability on each shipment, improve railcar processing, and simply rail scheduling and shipment management.

  • Monitor railcar location, status, and ETAs in transit on manifest and unit train shipments.
  • Manage all railcar fleets, user defined sub-fleets, and supporting lease agreements.
  • Maintain and adjust trip plans to reflect changes to railroad schedules.
  • Utilize performance reports to manage cycle time, carrier performance, and ETA accuracy.
  • Identify data reporting errors with comprehensive exception reporting tools.
  • Correct and add missing data and CLM events.
  • Close trips that have not been properly closed.
  • Input waybill info if electronic waybill is not received.
  • Data integrity support and continuous analysis and cleansing of all CLM data captured.

.: RATES MANAGEMENT

Rates Management provides users a powerful system and analytical tools to streamline supply chain execution and increase visibility across all modes of transportation.

Rates Management integrates disparate transportation contracts into a centralized database so users can manage freight rates, easily share information with team members, evaluate multi-modal shipment options, minimize transfer/warehouse costs, streamline payment, and maximize financial returns.

Rates Management supports rail and truck freight rates including negotiated contracts, industry tariffs, surcharges, ancillary costs, service fees, quote history, and multi-mode rates.

Rates Management provides accurate transportation rating and complete documentation for optimal routing and execution.  This provides users the ability to optimize logistics costs and identify the lowest cost route.

The audit module in Rates Management helps users ensure payments are applied correctly and incorrect payments are adjusted accordingly.  Users maintain real-time visibility to all transportation invoice information through a web portal.

.: TRUCK CARRIER MANAGEMENT

Truck Carrier Management streamlines first and final mile transportation management workflows and helps inventory owners manage load tendering, dispatch, ticketing, shipment visibility, inventory, invoicing, and carrier payment approval.

Truck Carrier Management is the central repository for all master data and ensures shipper, receiver, and carrier have one version of the truth. Transactions are processed in real/near real time and all stakeholders can easily and quickly verify amount transported, apply expected charges, and identify exceptions.

  • Multiple run ticket types - including crude oil, fresh and produced water, sand, and chemicals
  • Load tendering to carriers and dispatching to drivers
  • Managing load status throughout the run ticket lifecycle.
  • Mobile applications for various users – drivers, lease operators
  • Visibility to truck locations - in-transit and dwell time
  • Centralized master data processes and collaboration workflows
  • Ad-hoc and scheduled reporting created by customer
  • Ability to grant collaboration partners access

.: DEMURRAGE MANAGEMENT

Demurrage Management monitors railcar switch events and provides industrial shippers an all-inclusive view of demurrage, storage and detention records at plant and terminal locations.  Demurrage Management applies operating rules and charges in industry tariffs or terms negotiated by contract to immediately calculate demurrage costs. Demurrage Management generates cost reports to audit invoices and ensure railroad billings are accurate.

.: CONTRACT MANAGEMENT AND SHIPMENT SCHEDULING

Contract Management and Shipment Scheduling enables users to centrally manage all supply contracts and volume commitments to customers. Contract terms including product, mode, term, price, unit of measure, mode, location, and many others are managed in the application. Users manage both master contracts and sub-agreements in the application. The application will integrate with third party systems and receive data from SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, Right Angle, and other ERPs.

Shipment Scheduling manages the anticipated shipment plan based on the product quantity expected to ship during the contract period. As customer orders are placed the notional shipment schedule becomes a load plan to fill the orders. Users enter customer order information and the application will receive order data from external order capture systems. As the shipment plan is finalized, the data passes to the Yard Management System to build a load plan for rail and truck shipments to fill customer orders.

.: LOGISTICS PLAN

Logistics Plan is used by industrial shippers and receivers at both plant and terminal locations to forecast shipment fulfillment requirements by matching daily and future customer orders with expected inventory and equipment supply. Logistics Plan manages planned vs. actual shipments, captures variance to plan, and adjusts the next day plan for differences in orders, inventory, and equipment availability.

Planning horizons can be managed on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Logistics Plan is integrated with Rail Shipment Visibility to provide advance notification of shipment status, location, and ETA. In addition, Logistics Plan can be integrated with ERP or other inventory management system to populate beginning inventory and anticipated production data by plant and terminal location. Users can also mass upload inventory and production data and make manual adjustments as needed.

.: TRANSPORT ANALYTICS - Business Intelligence (TA)

Transport Analytics (TA) is a complete set of business analysis tools designed to help management personnel and operators work effectively, provide business insights, support decision-making, and drive business performance.
