Seth Maerowitz

Seth Maerowitz

Seth manages marketing, sales, finance, acquisitions, business development, and human resources. He is also responsible for financial control, performance measurement, and contracts administration. He contributes to the development and execution of the company’s strategic plan, negotiations with key accounts, and senior recruitment decisions. 

Seth brings to ShipXpress 16 years of experience in investment banking at JP Morgan Chase, Citicorp, and Lehman Brothers. As an investment banker, he raised over $3 billion in capital and advised on numerous M&A transactions for companies in the United States, Asia, and Latin America. Before that, Seth was a strategy and financial consultant at Arthur D. Little for both private and public sector clients.

Seth holds an MSMS from MIT's Sloan School of Management and a BA in Economics from Haverford College.

Raghu Misra
Co-CEO

Raghu Misra

Raghu supervises overall product management, product strategy, product design, development, delivery, and strategic alliances. He is responsible for the architectural design of the company’s products, the selection of enabling technologies, and project management of R&D programs. 

Prior to co-founding ShipXpress, Raghu designed large, complex databases and web initiatives integral to the logistics, transportation, and manufacturing industries. He specialized in IT strategic planning, product development, and technology-driven business process improvements. He worked as a consultant for many Fortune 500 companies, successfully integrating competitive, cost-effective practices with emerging technologies. Raghu also served as a senior technical consultant to CSX Integrated Services, Sanga International, Bridgepoint, and other large global corporations. 

Raghu holds a BS in Mathematics, Economics, and Statistics from Osmania University in Hyderabad, India.

Charith Perera

Charith Perera

Charith was CEO of ShipXpress for 16 years and was responsible for the overall vision, strategy, and management of the company. This included the supervision and direction of the entire product portfolio and its enhancement through internal development and acquisitions. He also oversaw product quality, marketing strategy, sales, and technology. Charith passed away on July 8th 2016. 

Charith had over 20 years of executive management and marketing experience. Prior to co-founding ShipXpress, he was the Director of Marketing at CSX Transportation, where he implemented the marketing strategy for fertilizer, consumer, and paper products. Charith gained extensive knowledge about the different requirements among these industries and saw potential to drive collaboration between customers and their transportation providers.

Charith held an MSMS (Master of Science in Management Studies) from MIT's Sloan School of Management and a BS in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Colombo.
